I was not aware of this yet, but the EFRA has changed the rules on how many battery cells you can use in a touring car. Acording to the latest EFRA rules you are only allowed to run a 5 cell battery pack on EFRA sanctioned 1:10th touring car events. Receiver packs are also not allowed.

This might start off the development a whole lot of new cars because this makes quite a difference in packaging and allows for some different chassis lay-outs.

Serpent already came out with a special chassis for 5 cell racing for their just introduced tourer (picture below). I expect a lot of brands to follow!

Associateds new RC10B44 1:10th electric off-road

RCWorld.ch has a nice listing of all the 4WD cars that will be driven at the upcoming 1:10th scale electric off-road world championships. The scene has really exploded since Losi came out with their 4WD off-road a couple of years ago.

The cars use quite different lay-outs and it is not clear what cars all the manufacturers will bring, so it will be interesting to see who comes out on top!

Check it out at: RCWorld.ch (in German)

There's bound to be some great track action again this year. It's also always interesting to see what new develoments the manufacturers bring to the race to be able to beat the competition.

It looks like the club is going to do live updates, so that might be cool to check out!

There are already lots of electric touring cars out there, but now Serpent, a big name in on-roas gas racing is coming with a car in this class as well! It called the S400, not very inspiring, but it's track performance, not the name that counts.

Serpent cars are well known for their great performance and quality build, so this should definately be a car to look out for!

Lots of pictures and more information on the Serpent website:
