A really cool project I came across on the HPI website, drive an rc car through the Nevada desert from Barstow to Vegas, that's about 200km!
HPI wanted to demonstrate that their Baja 5B 1/5th scale off road petrol buggy can handle this tough environment. One of their employees started it as a joke driving the car up a mountain while steering it from the passenger seat of a full size car. Then they came up with the idea of doing a big drive through the desert as a promotional stunt. To see if the car held up and made it, check out the whole story, nice pictures and a video of the trip on the HPI website .
