The on-road worlds in Argentina have been plagued by bad weather in the last couple of days. They weren’t able to drive for a whole day. Because of this the last two rounds of qualifying have been cancelled and they went straight into the finals.
Fantinis Serpent 960 on the track These championships use a bit of a different system then the electric classes. You can ‘bump up’ to the next final if you finish in one of the first couple of places in your final, for instance from 1/8th final to 1/4th final. This way you can work your way up to the one hour long (!) main final. Only the drivers who qualified in the positions 1 till 4 get their main final places reserved. All other places are determined by the other finals. The four drivers who directly qualified for their place in the main final are: 1. Massimo Fantini | Serpent 960 | | 2. Lamberto Collari | Kyosho Evolva M3 | | 3. Adrien Bertin | Kyosho Evolva M3 | | 4. Chris Tosolini | Kyosho Evolva M3 | If the weather plays along the 1 hour main final will be run on Saturday. Up till then it will be interesting to see who makes it into the main and who can keep his nerves calm during the long battle for the win!
